Jill Summerscales, BS
Regional Executive Director
Jill brings to SeniorBridge a strong background in system organization, operations and management, as well as over 11 years experience owning and operating a geriatric care management company. She studied at William Jewell College in MO, Harlaxton College in Grantham England, and has a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Hodges University. Jill held a variety of finance and management positions with the Hallmark Cards organization, and was selected to participate in a variety of their well regarded customer service and Management Leadership training programs. She was responsible for the operations of a resort in Belize, Central America before settling in the Naples area. Upon settling in Naples, Jill became interested in the needs of the elderly when she ran a Computer Learning Center in Naples, FL that was that was focused on computer training geared to the senior population. Jill ran Parent Care, a geriatric care management company in Naples, FL along with her business partner, Linda Cramer, since 1998. Parent Care joined the SeniorBridge Family of Companies in May of 2009. Jill is a past member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association, and past chair of the FGCMA Public Relations Committee.
Annalise Smith
Regional Director of Professional Relations
Annalise has more than a decade experience developing strategic relationships and partnerships in the healthcare field throughout South Florida. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Annalise served in positions including Director of Marketing at Stanley LTC Pharmacy, an independently owned and operated pharmacy servicing long-term care facilities and Vice President of Business Development at Sunshine Pharmacy, Inc. in Naples, Florida. A resident of Collier County since 2001, she is an active member in her community serving as an Executive Board Member for the Parkinson's Association of South West Florida and President of Naples Interagency Council. She is also an active member of the Florida Assisted Living Association and the Florida Health Care Association and serves her sorority as Treasurer of the South West Florida Alumnae Club. Her life-long career in geriatrics began in kindergarten when she accompanied her podiatrist father on house calls to home bound elderly patients and has also included assisting with Medicare and secondary insurance claim forms as well as working in nursing home and assisted living facilities in her teens. Annalise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Child and Consumer Sciences from Florida State University in Tallahassee where she was an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and was appointed to the Seminole Torchbearers leadership society. She is also a 2010 graduate of the Leadership Collier program.
Linda Cramer, MHA, CMC
Professional Development Specialist
Linda Cramer has worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years. She began her career as a hospital social worker in Portland, Oregon and later became the Associate Director of Social Work at Emanuel Hospital in Portland. Linda developed innovative hospital and community programs to assist older adults and has served on many boards in Portland that focused on aging. In 1995, Linda moved to Naples, Florida where she joined a national care management corporation as a care manager. She later became the regional manager serving Southwest Florida. In 1998 Linda and her business partner Jill Summerscales co-founded Parent Care a successful geriatric care management company in Naples. In 2009 Parent Care merged with SeniorBridge a national care management and home care company. It is currently the largest care management company in South Florida.Linda has a Masters in Hospital and Public Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Gerontology, Advanced Professional Status as a Fellow from the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. Linda is the current President of the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association and is a Certified Care Manager. Linda was recognized by her peers as the 2010 Care Manager of the year for Florida. Linda has spoken and provided trainings to professionals in the field of aging, business and families about aging issues.
Gail Schultz
Director of Professional Relations
Gail is a 30 year resident of Southwest Florida. Her commitment to excellence encompasses all areas of her work as Director of Professional Relations, including strong client advocacy, with particular expertise in service coordination and community relations throughout the Florida area. Prior to SeniorBridge, Gail served as Director of Community Relations at two Naples area specialty assisted living communities. While at Juniper Village at Naples, Gail cultivated and maintained referral sources, planned and executed unique community events, and implemented effective marketing strategies that increased census by 65% in less than 18 months. Among her accomplishments as Director of Community Relations at HaborChase Memory Care, Gail increased traffic into the community while meeting and exceeding goals for new admissions. Gail has a strong service mission in part cultivated as Victim Advocate for the Marco Island Police Department and as Service Coordinator for Full Circle Commu nities. Gail earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University and took graduate level courses at the University of South Florida School of Aging Studies. She is an active member of numerous organizations that serve to benefit senior residents including Naples Interagency Council, Cooperative Associates Marketing Elderly Options (CAMEO), Collier County Medical Managers Association, Florida Council of Aging, and Florida Network of Victim Witness Services. She is also a member of the Education Committee for the Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida, Chair of the Philanthropy Committee for CAMEO, and a past President of the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island.
Jane Nelson Thomas, BSED, MSN, RN, CMC
Senior Care Manager
Jane Nelson Thomas comes to SeniorBridge with 27 years of clinical nursing experience, including critical care and home care nursing. For 16 years in Detroit, she worked at the Wayne Center, which provides care management for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental retardation, including many senior clients. She also served as Commissioner of the City of Dearborn Commission on Disabilities and was on the board of directors of the Michigan Cancer Foundation. Ms. Thomas obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Eastern Michigan University, her nursing diploma from the Henry Ford Hospital and a Master of Science degree in nursing with a geriatric focus from Wayne State University. She is a certified case manager and a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and its Naples chapter.
Monica Buddemeyer, LPN
Care Manager
Monica has over twenty years of nursing experience, ten of those as a Home Health Agency Administrator. She graduated from Sheridan Vocational School in Hollywood, FL and subsequently held nursing postions at various locations, including Emergency Medical International in Miami, FL; Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and several Home Health Agencies in Florida and Pennsylvania. Monica's areas of specialties have included case management, trauma care, and transplant care. She opened 1st Choice Home Health Care on Marco Island in 2005 to help to meet the community need for high quality personalized care for Marco residents. Monica and her family have been active members of the Marco Island, FL community since 1998.
Mary Kaye Coriano, LCSW
Care Manager
Mary Kaye Coriano joins the SeniorBridge family with a strong belief in the value of care management and more than 30 years experience in the medical social work field. Prior to arriving in Florida, Mary worked for 13 years for United Hospice of Rockland County where she was a social worker for eight years before being promoted to Director of Counseling. She also worked in New York as a medical social worker for 20 years in the home care department at The Nyack Hospital and as a case worker in protective services for adults with the Rockland County Department of Social Services in New York. Mary received her masters of social work from Fordham University and holds licensure for social work in both New York and Florida.
Sharon McGrath, RN
Care Manager
Sharon joins SeniorBridge with more than 20 years nursing experience. For the past 10 years she served as the Director of Nursing for Preferred Healthmate, Inc. in Brick, New Jersey where she was the home care coordinator and worked with case management to oversee all aspects of patient care from within the home environment. She has extensive experience in care management, patient care assessment and plan implementation. Among her varied experience, she has developed critical care nursing education programs with an emphasis on acute respiratory disorders, she served in hospice as a field nurse working with clients and their families in the home and practiced as a Registered Nurse in a long term care facility. She earned her degree in nursing with high honors from Passaic County Community College in Wayne, New Jersey. Sharon and her family have now relocated to Marco Island, and she has her nursing license in Florida and New Jersey as well as certification as a nurse educator.
Linda Novosel, BA of Social Work, CMC
Care Manager
Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Linda worked for Parent Care as a geriatric care manager. A former Care Manager Supervisor for the Orlando office of American Eldercare, Linda has long been an advocate for the frail elderly, their families and caregivers. Bringing a wide range of experience from both the "not for profit" and business community, her passion lies in supporting clients with Alzheimer's dementia. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association. She earned her BA in Social Work from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio.
Alison Slater, MSW
Care Manager
Alison Slater brings experience in counseling and social work to the SeniorBridge team, specializing in advocacy, trauma work and changes throughout the aging process. She has worked with a wide range of clientele, providing needs assessments and program development to improve quality of life. With an MSW from the University of Denver and a specialization in Interpersonal Trauma and Family Studies, Alison also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice from Hodges University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Prior to SeniorBridge, Alison spent time as the Advocacy Coordinator at Project Help and worked as a therapist for the legal system during her graduate studies.
Ann Wendland, RN, CMC
Care Manager
Having dedicated more than 28 years to the healthcare field, Ann's clinical nursing expertise encompasses medical/surgical, geriatric medicine, psychiatry, and substance abuse specialties. For 21 years, she worked for several companies in Florida and Minnesota, providing care management and coordination of home care for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental retardation, including many senior clients. Ann has trained direct care staff in medication administration, CPR, first aid, infection control, and psychotropic medication monitoring. Ann attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, and received her nursing degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids, MN.
