Kathleen Fitzgerald, RN
Executive Director

Ms. Fitzgerald is a registered nurse with 6 years experience as a Professional Geriatric Care Manager. Her experience includes consulting with corporate and individual clients to identify and implement solutions for the elderly and chronically ill adult populations. Her expertise includes comprehensive assessment services, care coordination and advocacy. Ms. Fitzgerald has 15 years of experience in the healthcare and healthcare insurance industries including various leadership roles in medical management, including case management and disease management. Ms. Fitzgerald's clinical experience includes critical care and medical surgical oncology. She is member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM).

David P. Cuny
Director of Professional Relations

David has 9 years business and accounting experience as a Certified Public Accountant and also as a Controller for a nursing home management company. For the past 15 years, David has done marketing for a national home care organization and has promoted pharmaceutical medications for an international company that specializes in the Alzheimer's and depression markets. Having valuable contacts in the Pittsburgh, PA market will allow David to educate others that can benefit from the SeniorBridge "experience". David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Indianan University of Pennsylvania.

Deanna Ferrella, RN
Care Manager

Deanna's was previously a Registered Nurse at Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon, where she assessed and implemented care plans, and educated patients on skilled nursing, intermediate and dementia units. Before that, she was Nurse Supervisor in charge of quality assurance and infection control at the Ronald Reagan Atrium I in Pittsburgh, a 160-bed long-term care facility. Her responsibilities included supervision and management of the facility, assessment, and staff development and education. Deanna also served as Registered Nurse for Triage and Back Office Coordinator at Mercy Hospital's Primary Care Network, providing nursing care for a multiple-site Internal Medicine practice, assessment and patient care plans and education. She received her Registered Nurse license after competing training at the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in McKees Rocks and studied at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh.

Martha L. Kwalwasser, MSW
Care Manager

Martha has been involved in senior care and healthcare management for 29 years. She has been the Program Director of Senior Services at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh for the past 18 months, which includes the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging Senior Center, and a member of the AgeWell Pittsburgh service collaboration. Prior to this, she was Executive Director of The Residence on Fifth, and before that, she was Personal Care Home Administrator at the Assisted Living Residence at Weinberg Village of the Jewish Association on Aging. She has also been Director of Care Management, Director of Social Work, Director of Admissions, and Geriatric Social Worker for the Riverview Center for Jewish Seniors, a nursing facility. Her BA in Sociology/Human Services was obtained at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, and she earned a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of Southern California Andrus Gerontology Center in LA. Martha has a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, is a licensed Social Worker in the State of Pennsylvania and is a state licensed Personal Care Home Administrator. Marilyn W. Long
Care Manager

Marilyn began her career as a 4th-grade teacher in the Ipswich, Massachusetts public schools, taught children at St. Edmund's Academy in Pittsburgh and also taught adults for over 10 years. In 2001 she devoted herself to care management work, working as a Social Service Assistant at Sterling Care Counseling, a provider of eldercare services that had been acquired by SeniorBridge. Marilyn received her Bachelor of Science degree from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts.

Marla Malcolm, RN, BSN
Care Manager

For the past 10 years, Marla has been a licensed nurse in various venues providing healthcare to Pittsburgh residents. She worked as a nurse for Elder Healthcare, assessing private practices and hospitals that were interested in assignments by that agency. Marla has also been a school nurse in the Brentwood School District for 5 years and served as a private-duty nurse for elderly clients living at home. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Carlow College in Oakland, PA, a Graduate Nurse Diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, and RN Professional Nurse and School Nurse certification.

David Mattioli, RN, BSN
Associate Vice President of Clinical Services

David Mattioli brings more than 17 years' experience in a variety of healthcare settings to SeniorBridge. For 9 years previously, he was the Administrator of Almost Family in West Palm Beach, responsible for operations and delivery of care for the in-home program in 4 counties, and for a time served dually in that role at Almost Family's Medical Adult Day Center in Boynton Beach.

Mr. Mattioli began his nursing career at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he developed a passion for caring for the elderly, and became a care manager before returning to Florida. He is a certified trainer for the Alzheimer training course for home health agencies in Florida and coauthored the curriculum used for the training. Mr. Mattioli is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers. He received a BS in biology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a BSN from Eastern Michigan University, and is a certified Legal Nurse Consultant

Philip Dooling
Vice President of Regional Operations

Mr. Dooling has over 29 years of senior management experience, including sales, marketing and operations roles with a Fortune 100 company, entrepreneurial start-ups and owning a multiple site specialty retail business. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Mr. Dooling was the Chief Operating Officer for a South Texas Regional Home Health Agency, where he provided strategic direction and managed marketing and business development efforts. Mr. Dooling has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois.
